EXCESSIVE MEDICAL AND FIRE EMERGENCY RESPONSE TIMES IN HIGHLANDS RANCH!!!

Highlands ranch citizens, please take alook at the recent operational study that was completed the end of 2008. It states that Littleton Fire Rescue resopnse times are EXCESSIVE!!!! They don't even come close to the national standards that are scientifically created by the NFPA and us fire administration. There is only one medic unit (ambulance) in Highlands Ranch for over 100,000 citizens and only two fire stations. There have been attempts to get more resources by the Metro District, but the City of Littleton has all the control and denied the added resource that has proved to decrease response times all over the district. This would have been a minimul cost because it would be split by three entites Highlands Ranch, Littleton Fire Protection District and the City of Littleton. This would have had little or no cost for the citizens. The metro District has no say or vote in our current contract with the City of Littleton. The City of Littleton has no concern for Highlands Ranch citizens, why should they? We need an authority board so we have a voice in the level of service we get. IT SHOULD BE OUR DECISION ON WHAT HR WANTS AND NOT THE CITY OF LITTLETON. Please join me and many others already involed and get educated. We need you to send an e-mail to the Metro District Board and support them in change for our communities safety and our famlies safety.  Go to the HRMD web page and just tell them you are concerned!!! thanks for your support
